Northampton Saints and Rugby Tour Spain are coming to Sage College in Jerez for the second time to host their Premiership Rugby Camp from 27th February to 1st March 2025
The Northampton Saints are one of England´s most famous rugby clubs. They have won the European Champions Cup, the European Challenge Cup, and the English Premiership and have produced many internationals and British Lions. Recent England captains Courtney Lawes and Dylan Hartley are both hugely successful Saints players. Last season, Saints reached the semi-finals of the Premiership, and Lawes, Lewis Ludlam, Dan Biggar, David Ribbans, Alex Mitchell, and George Furbank all featured in Six Nations matches.
Inspired by their desire to encourage and develop young talent, the Saints coaches have developed a holistic and intensive rugby programme to challenge ambitious young rugby players and support their journey through the rugby pathway.
At our Sage College Saints Rugby Camp, players will get the chance to develop their understanding of the game through a variety of activities and game situations. Training is structured into two sessions throughout the day with specific outcomes for each session. Coaches challenge the players to adapt to new scenarios and develop skills on and off the field, aiding their player development. Saints coaches strive to help all participants reach their full potential, whether they have played rugby before or not.
The Camp is open to boys and girls aged 8 to 18. The groups will be arranged by age and ability to ensure players get the most from this amazing opportunity. Players are welcome from all rugby clubs, and they can come as day participants from 10:00 to 17:00 each day or, alternatively, stay at the college in their modern boarding facilities. All the rooms have ensuites, and children will be supervised at all times.
The Saints coaches are always looking to identify talent from all countries. Players attending the camp will be assessed and supported by the coaches and will benefit greatly from the experience.
All players at the Camp will be offered reduced fees for other Saints camps in the UK, and two players, one boy and one girl will be offered free places at the Saints residential camp in England in the summer of 2025. Players at the Camp will also receive a free Saints shirt, a water bottle, and a certificate, and there will be daily prizes to be won.
The girls camp will be supported by coaches from Loughborough Lightning, through the Saints female rugby partnership. Loughborough Lightning play in the Allianz Premier 15’s and include recently retired England captain Sarah Hunter who played for the Red Roses in four World Cups amongst their most famous players.
The Lightning coaches are looking for enthusiastic and talented girls to work with at the Jerez camp.
